Cassidy & Tate is a WordPress-built real estate platform developed for an independent estate agency specializing in residential property sales, lettings, land acquisition, new homes, and property management across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. The site gives customers a single portal to search properties, request valuations, communicate with agents, and access the agency's full range of services.
Built on WordPress with a custom theme and a property feed integration, the platform lets visitors filter live sales and lettings listings, view detailed property pages, and move straight into valuation, viewing, or landlord and tenant enquiries. Administrators manage listings, team profiles, new developments, and every informational page through the WordPress dashboard without needing a developer.
The Issue At Hand
Property buyers and sellers expect a simple, intuitive online experience where they can quickly search properties, access detailed information, and reach an agent without unnecessary complexity, while the agency itself needed to represent several distinct business lines, sales, lettings, property management, land, and mortgages, without the site feeling fragmented.
Cassidy & Tate was built on WordPress to give the agency's own team direct, no-code control over listings, team profiles, and service content, while giving customers a single, fast, mobile-friendly portal covering every stage of buying, selling, letting, or developing a property in Hertfordshire.
A custom WordPress theme had to support a live property feed with advanced filtering by location, price, bedroom count, and property type, spanning both sales and lettings listings.
Detailed property pages needed to combine descriptions, photography, floor plans, and location data in a consistent, easy-to-scan layout across listings ranging from single homes to multi-million-pound land sites.
Dedicated sections for Sales, Lettings, Property Management, Land & New Homes, and Mortgages each needed distinct content and enquiry paths while staying visually consistent with the rest of the site.
An interactive Stamp Duty Calculator had to run client-side and account for first-time buyer, buy-to-let, and non-UK resident scenarios against current UK tax bands.
Landlord and tenant guidance, covering EPCs, gas safety, deposit protection, and Right to Rent checks, needed to be organized as clear, self-service FAQ content rather than dense legal text.
A before/after comparison gallery had to let visitors interactively compare property or development photography without slowing page load.
The content management system had to let non-technical administrators update property listings, team profiles, new developments, and informational pages directly from the WordPress dashboard.
The site needed strong SEO through clean URLs, optimized metadata, and page structure, since most property searches begin with a search engine.
Performance and responsiveness had to hold up across desktop, tablet, and mobile, given how much property browsing happens on the move.
The architecture had to remain scalable enough to support a growing volume of listings and additional service pages without a platform rebuild.
