The Scott Exteriors project is a comprehensive Figma-based web redesign for a premier North Texas roofing and siding specialist established in 1997. As a family-owned Dallas business, they combine decades of trusted experience with a personalized approach, treating every customer like family while delivering high-quality roofing, siding, gutter, and exterior renovation services.
This project transformed their traditional home services model into a modern, high-converting digital experience by designing scalable layout blueprints, intuitive user journeys, and conversion-focused landing pages. The redesign emphasized trust, service transparency, responsive layouts, clear calls-to-action, and an improved browsing experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, ensuring the brand's professionalism and reliability were reflected throughout the website.

The Issue At Hand
Scott Exteriors had decades of trusted craftsmanship and a loyal customer base, but their digital presence didn't reflect the quality of their work. Without a compelling web identity, they were losing potential clients to competitors with stronger online visibility despite offering superior service.
During the interface wireframing and prototyping phases, several critical user experience hurdles and business communication challenges were solved entirely through strategic layout design.
Frictionless Estimate Funnels: Long forms caused high lead drop-off rates.
Bifurcated User Intent: Mixed residential and commercial messaging confused target audiences.
Overcoming Contractor Anxiety: Hidden project costs and vague warranties damaged user trust.
Geographic Service Clarity: Ambiguous regional coverage boundaries caused local user abandonment.

We audited Scott Exteriors' existing brand assets and identified a clear opportunity to position them around trust, transparency, and family craftsmanship, differentiators their competitors weren't communicating. This research phase yielded critical design directives:
Key Activities
Designing for Variety-Specific Benefits
Research indicated that consumers require explicit educational proof before committing to premium exterior upgrades. This insight led to a robust design layout that breaks down individual product variations, providing clear, structured feature-and-benefit listings for every material type (e.g., matching distinct benefits to specific commercial and residential roofing varieties) so users can confidently evaluate options.
The Power of Visual Proof for Completed Work
Text-heavy claims of quality are rarely enough to drive high-value quote requests. The design strategy accounted for this by prioritizing visual evidence of completed work, embedding beautifully structured before-and-after case study components and cleanly spaced three-column project galleries directly into the core user flows to validate field execution capabilities.
Designing for Diagnostic Search
Users seeking property repairs are often under stress (e.g., assessing storm damage) and scan pages looking for specific issues rather than broad trade terms. This discovery led to the design of a structured "Common problems we solve" card component on the repairs landing page, classifying distinct issues like flashing failures, ventilation issues, and active leaks into easily digestible, highly scannable UI cards.

“
MangoCoders were so easy and stress free to work with! We had them rebuild or old website to be in a modern format, and they often delivered the milestones in 1 day. Then they would take my feedback on the milestone and complete all of the changes, again, in 1 day. Then they'd move on to the next milestone and, AGAIN, complete it in 1 day. The speed never came with compromise to the design. They would offer multiple design choices with custom made creative aspects.
